This policy explains the information that may be processed when you visit byLYNCH.com, browse photography, use linked services or contact the artist. It also explains the distinction between this website and independent services it links to.

1. Who is responsible
byLYNCH is the photography publication of Romario Lynch (LYNCH), based in Jamaica. References to “we”, “us” or “the site” mean the publication and its operator, unless the context refers to an independent provider.
For a privacy or image-rights inquiry, contact @lebosslynch on Instagram and clearly identify it as a “Privacy / byLYNCH” request. This is an interim contact route; Instagram is operated by Meta, not by byLYNCH. Do not send identity documents or other sensitive personal information through a social-media direct message. If sensitive verification is necessary, request another secure way to communicate. See Contact.
2. Information involved in using the site
- Ordinary browsing data. Visiting a website may disclose IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and technical diagnostic information to web-hosting and network providers. The site is hosted through GitHub Pages. Their records and retention practices are controlled by those providers.
- Content you choose to share. If you contact the photographer through an external social-media service, that platform processes the message and account information under its own privacy terms. We may use the details provided to answer and manage your inquiry.
- Historical public comments. Some older articles reproduce WordPress-era comments, including the author name, date, submitted website link and comment content. These comments are part of the published historical archive rather than an active on-site comment-submission system.
- Photography and credits. Published images, captions and credits may identify individuals, collaborators or locations. Requests about a specific photograph can be made through the rights process described below.
There is no byLYNCH user-account registration or functioning first-party contact form on the current site. The site's local search uses a publicly delivered article index in the visitor's browser; it is not represented as a private or access-controlled search system.
3. Why information may be processed
Relevant purposes include publishing and displaying the creative archive, providing site functionality and security, answering inquiries, maintaining attribution and records, handling legitimate privacy or image-rights concerns, and enabling advertising technology where installed and permitted. The lawful basis for a particular activity depends on the data, purpose and law that applies; this notice does not claim that every activity depends on a single blanket consent.
4. Hosting, advertising and other services
GitHub Pages serves the static website. Styles request Google Fonts, which may receive technical request data when pages load. The site's Google AdSense publisher tag is loaded on pages not excluded by the publication's mature-content classification; the nine currently flagged galleries omit it. byLYNCH uses three manually positioned AdSense ad units rather than automatic ad placement.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4). byLYNCH uses Google Analytics to measure pageviews and broad engagement with the photography archive, including articles where advertising is intentionally disabled. Analytics is not an advertising placement. The site's Google tag uses the measurement ID G-K95ENNDT6F, requests visit-related data from Google, and may use analytics cookies where permitted. The implementation sends page addresses without arbitrary query parameters; Google Signals and Analytics advertising-personalization signals are disabled. Google Analytics and the underlying network may still process technical information such as IP addresses and device/browser details. We do not use visits to individual galleries to build personalized advertising audiences.
Regional analytics consent. For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, the site defaults Analytics storage consent to denied. Google's published European regulations message may communicate an updated Analytics consent preference when the Google CMP consent-mode setting is enabled and the message is displayed. With denied consent, Google's advanced consent mode may send limited cookieless pings rather than full cookie-based measurements. On advertising-excluded galleries, the AdSense message loader is absent, so those visits may remain in the denied state in these regions until an independently verified consent mechanism is available. Consent behavior and regional technical verification are still pending.
European advertising consent. On 15 October 2026, byLYNCH published a European regulations consent message for this website through Google AdSense Privacy & messaging, using Google's consent-management service. The message is intended for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where presented, it provides advertising-related data-processing choices, including choices concerning cookies or similar technologies, according to its current configuration and applicable requirements. Google and participating advertising vendors handle relevant consent signals under their systems and policies. The site does not display its former custom advertising-consent pop-up. Publication of Google's message is not, by itself, a determination that every legal or technical consent requirement has been met.
Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve or measure advertising based on visits to this and other websites, subject to their technology and settings. Google's advertising cookies may enable interest-based ads. You can manage Google's ad personalization via My Ad Center and learn more at Google advertising technologies. Other ad-network partners, if enabled in the AdSense account, may have their own notices and choices.
Certain articles contain directly embedded YouTube or SoundCloud media players. Those players may connect to their providers as soon as you open a page containing an embed, even if you do not play the media. The providers may receive technical data and may use cookies or similar identifiers under their own policies. External links may open Instagram, Flickr, Gumroad or other independent sites. The policies and cookies of those sites are governed by their respective operators; a simple outbound link is not itself the same as an embedded service.
See Cookies & Tracking for additional details and controls.
5. Retention and security
The Contact page's request preparer drafts text in your own browser; it does not transmit or store that text on a byLYNCH server. Contact requests sent through Instagram are processed by Meta under its own practices. The site no longer operates a custom advertising-choice storage mechanism.
Site-related correspondence and historic published content may be kept while relevant to a legitimate inquiry, the published archive, a rights dispute or an applicable legal obligation. The site does not claim a uniform fixed retention period for all records. Provider-held technical logs, advertising data and social-platform messages are governed in part by the relevant providers' practices. Reasonable steps will be taken to review and limit information held directly by the publication, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and requests
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to information about processing, access, correction, deletion, objection or other available remedies. If you are depicted in a photograph or named in a historic comment, identify the page URL and explain what you wish us to review. We assess requests individually, including privacy, journalistic or artistic expression, attribution, intellectual-property and legal considerations.
Send a brief request via @lebosslynch on Instagram. Avoid sending sensitive documents in the initial message. Where necessary, we will seek a proportionate way to confirm that a requester is entitled to act. You may also contact an appropriate privacy regulator; in Jamaica, the Office of the Information Commissioner provides guidance on data protection.
7. Updates
This notice can be revised as the website's services, advertising settings or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current published version.
